Add an AI chatbot to your WordPress site.

ChatBento isn't a WordPress plugin. It's one line of code, so it works with any theme or page builder (Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg) and adds nothing to your database. The simplest way to add it is a header & footer code plugin.

Install on WordPress in 5 steps

Where it goes: Your site footer, before </body> (via a code-snippet plugin or your theme)

  1. 1

In ChatBento, open your chatbot, go to Install and copy the one-line snippet.

  2. 2

In WordPress, install a header & footer code plugin such as WPCode (Plugins → Add New), then open its Header & Footer settings.

  3. 3

Paste the snippet into the Footer box and save.

  4. 4

If you use a caching plugin, clear its cache.

  5. 5

Open your live site in a new tab and click the chat bubble in the corner to test it.

The snippet looks like this (your bot ID is filled in for you)

<script src="https://chatbento.com/widget.js" data-bot-id="YOUR_BOT_ID" async></script>

Caching and “delay JavaScript” settings

Caching and speed plugins can serve an old copy of your pages, so clear the cache after adding the snippet. If a plugin delays JavaScript until the visitor interacts, the chat bubble may appear late: exclude chatbento.com/widget.js from that setting.

Without a plugin

You can paste the snippet just above </body> in your theme's footer.php instead. Use a child theme, or the change is lost when the theme updates.

WordPress.com

On WordPress.com, installing plugins needs a plan that allows them. Self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org) has no such limit.

What the chatbot does on your WordPress site

Answers from your content

Trained on your pages, docs and Q&As. It says so when it doesn't know, instead of guessing.

Hands off to you

When a visitor needs a person, it collects their email and sends you the conversation.

WordPress questions. Answered.

Does it work with Elementor, Divi or Gutenberg?

Yes. The snippet is added site-wide, outside the page builder, so it works the same whatever builder or theme you use.

Can it answer from my posts and pages?

Yes. Add your site's address in ChatBento and it reads your published posts and pages through your links and sitemap. Pages that are hidden from search engines are skipped.

Do I need a WordPress chatbot plugin?

No. ChatBento runs on its own servers; WordPress only loads one small script, so there's nothing to update or keep compatible.

How much does ChatBento cost?

Plans start at $8/month (Hobby), with Standard at $30/month and Pro at $100/month. Every account starts with a 14-day free trial, no card required.
