Visitors who chat with a ChatBento widget

When you use a chatbot on a website that runs ChatBento, that website's owner is responsible for your data and we process it for them. We store your messages, the page you were on, and a random visitor ID kept in your browser so the conversation continues if you reload. If you leave your name, email or a message in the contact form, it is stored and emailed to the website owner. Your IP address is used, in hashed form, to limit abuse and is not stored as-is.

Who processes data for us

These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and Asia-Pacific.

How long we keep it

Account and chatbot data are kept while your account exists. Conversations and leads are kept until you delete them, delete the chatbot, or close your account. Deleting a chatbot removes its training data, conversations and leads.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing hello@chatbento.com. If you chatted with a ChatBento widget on someone else's website, contact that website's owner first; we'll help them handle your request.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell customers by email about significant changes.
