Is there a free plan?
Yes, free forever: 50 AI messages a month, one chatbot trained on up to 50 pages, lead capture and human handoff, with a small "Powered by ChatBento" link. Chatbase has no free plan, only a 7-day trial.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every account starts with a 14-day trial with 200 AI messages, one chatbot and up to 50 website pages. No card is needed. When it ends you keep the Free plan unless you upgrade.
What counts as a message?
One message is one AI reply. What visitors type and contact-form submissions don't count. Test chats in your dashboard do, because they're real AI replies. Allowances reset on the 1st of each month.
What happens if I run out of messages?
Your chatbot stops writing AI answers and offers the contact form instead, so visitors can still reach you and nothing is charged beyond your plan. Upgrade, or AI answers resume when the next month starts.
How does yearly billing work?
Pay for a year and get two months free: Hobby is $80/year, Standard is $300/year, Pro is $1,000/year.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes, from the Plan & usage page in your dashboard. If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
Do Q&As and pasted text count toward the page limit?
No. The page limit only counts website pages ChatBento reads. Q&As and pasted text have their own allowance of 300 per chatbot.
