Add an AI chatbot to your Carrd site.
Carrd adds custom code through an Embed element. Set it to Hidden and Body End and the code goes just before </body> instead of into your layout, which is where the ChatBento snippet belongs. One element is all it takes.
Install on Carrd in 5 steps
Where it goes: Add Element → Embed → Type: Code, Style: Hidden → Body End
- 1
In ChatBento, open your chatbot, go to Install and copy the one-line snippet.
- 2
In the Carrd builder, click Add Element and choose Embed.
- 3
Set Type to Code and paste the snippet into the Code field.
- 4
Set Style to Hidden, then choose Body End.
- 5
Publish your site, then open it in a new tab and click the chat bubble to test it.
The snippet looks like this (your bot ID is filled in for you)
<script src="https://chatbento.com/widget.js" data-bot-id="YOUR_BOT_ID" async></script>Steps follow Carrd’s own documentation, checked October 23, 2026.
Pro Standard or higher
Carrd says code embeds require Pro Standard or higher.
Publish to see it
Carrd doesn't run embed code in the builder, so the bubble only appears on the published site.
Hidden, not Inline
Inline puts the code where the element sits in your layout. Hidden → Body End keeps it out of the design and loads it after your content.

Answers from your content
Trained on your pages, docs and Q&As. It says so when it doesn't know, instead of guessing.
Hands off to you
When a visitor needs a person, it collects their email and sends you the conversation.

Carrd questions. Answered.
Can a one-page Carrd site use an AI chatbot?
Yes. It's a good fit: a one-page site can't hold every answer, so the chatbot covers pricing, availability and details people would otherwise email you about.
Where does the chatbot get its answers?
From your published Carrd page, plus any text and Q&As you add in ChatBento. Short sites often need a few Q&As for the details that aren't on the page.
Does it work with Carrd forms?
Yes, they're separate. When the chatbot can't answer, it collects the visitor's email itself and sends you the conversation.
