Install on BigCommerce in 5 steps
Where it goes: Storefront → Script Manager → Create a Script

In ChatBento, open your chatbot, go to Install and copy the one-line snippet.

In your BigCommerce control panel, go to Storefront → Script Manager and click Create a Script.

Name it ChatBento, set Placement to Footer, Location to Storefront pages, and Script category to Functional.

Set Script type to Script, paste the snippet, and save.

Open your live site in a new tab and click the chat bubble in the corner to test it.

Stencil themes only
BigCommerce says Script Manager is only available to stores using Stencil themes.
Why Storefront pages
Storefront pages covers everything except checkout and order confirmation. BigCommerce requires an integrity hash for scripts on payment pages, and that hash stops matching whenever a script is updated, so keep the chatbot off them.
Cookie consent
BigCommerce's consent banner uses the script category. Functional is the category BigCommerce lists for live chat; shoppers who opt out of functional cookies won't see the chatbot.
