Add an AI chatbot to your Strikingly site.

Strikingly's site-wide Custom Code has a Footer field for code that belongs before </body>, which is exactly where the ChatBento snippet goes. Blog posts use their own custom code setting, so if your site has a blog, paste it there as well.

Install on Strikingly in 5 steps

Where it goes: Settings → Advanced → Custom Code → Footer

  1. 1

In ChatBento, open your chatbot, go to Install and copy the one-line snippet.

  2. 2

In the Strikingly editor, open Settings → Advanced → Custom Code.

  3. 3

Paste the snippet into the Footer field and save.

  4. 4

If your site has a blog, go to Settings → Blog → Blog Settings and paste the snippet into the blog's custom code footer too.

  5. 5

Open your live site in a new tab and click the chat bubble in the corner to test it.

The snippet looks like this (your bot ID is filled in for you)

<script src="https://chatbento.com/widget.js" data-bot-id="YOUR_BOT_ID" async></script>

Steps follow Strikingly’s own documentation, checked October 23, 2026.

Pro or VIP plan needed

Strikingly says site-wide custom code is available on Pro and VIP subscriptions, and blog custom code on Pro and above.

Blog posts need their own copy

Strikingly doesn't apply the main site's custom code to blog posts. Without the second paste, the chatbot won't appear on your posts.

Footer, not Header

Strikingly's docs say code meant for the <body> or before </body> goes in Footer. Use that field rather than Header or an HTML section, which only covers one page.

What the chatbot does on your Strikingly site

Answers from your content

Trained on your pages, docs and Q&As. It says so when it doesn't know, instead of guessing.

Hands off to you

When a visitor needs a person, it collects their email and sends you the conversation.

Strikingly questions. Answered.

Can I add the chatbot on Strikingly's free plan?

Not through custom code. Strikingly limits it to Pro and VIP subscriptions, which is Strikingly's rule rather than ChatBento's.

Does it work on one-page Strikingly sites?

Yes. The bubble sits in the corner of the screen, so it stays available while visitors scroll through every section.

Can it answer from my Strikingly content?

Yes. Add your site's address in ChatBento and it reads your published pages and blog posts. Add Q&As for prices, hours or policies that aren't on the site.

How much does ChatBento cost?

ChatBento has a free plan with 50 AI messages a month, free forever. Paid plans are Hobby at $8/month, Standard at $30/month and Pro at $100/month. New accounts start with a 14-day trial, no card required.
